Hello, my dear friends! Today we are reviewing new Big Fish Game - Echoes of the Past: The Citadels of Time Collector's Edition. It is the third part of Echoes of the Past game series, so you can call it Echoes of the Past 3. But first of all let's see what Big Fish is showing us in game video.
Time Traveling - intriguing! But don't be hasty - let's better examine Echoes of the Past 3: The Citadels of Time Collector's Edition deeper. First of all take a look on the game main menu.
Rather dark and mystical, isn't it? And so the game is. As I said before, Echoes of the Past: The Citadels of Time is the third part of Echoes of the Past game's series, so the storyline continues story of the first and second parts of the game - Echoes of the Past: Royal House of Stone and Echoes of the Past: The Castle of Shadows.
This time the witch that you defeated in the previous parts of the game is back and she is really angry on you. She is fast, strong, has been collected many magical powers and abilities - shortly she is a real pain in the butt. And she is not stupid, but a really inventive!
So Echoes of the Past 3: The Citadels of Time game is starts with her complete and absolute victory - Witch has captured you into time-traveling trap! Now all inhabitants of the Orion kingdom is in deadly danger and there is no one to stop the witch from kingdom's devastation. Endless night is going to fall onto heads of all honest people in your once happy kingdom. The fate of your kingdom, and so is your own fate is now lying in your hands.
You can't help your people - first you must save yourself and find a way to break the witch's spell and restore your way home. It wouldn't be easy - witch wasn't sent you elsewhere, you are still in your home castle, but you are lost in time! In Echoes of the Past 3: The Citadels of Time situation is changing dramatically: one moment you are in the middle ages, meeting knights with crossbows, next moment you are seeing 19th century cannon and after a while - standing before personal computer! It won't be easy to find your way back home!
As usual for hidden object/puzzle games, in Echoes of the Past 3: The Citadels of Time you are going to collect different hidden items and clues, featured of them will be added to your inventory to be used by you in some puzzles later. Puzzles by the way are interesting, many of them easy enough, but others are tricky. There are also lots of videos in game (created on the game engine, so you shouldn't see the difference with the gameplay) opening the story of the game and it's connections with events from the previous parts of Echoes of the Past to you.
As always, in Echoes of the Past: The Citadels of Time you can use hints and as always for Collector's edition, you can use Integrated strategy guide, but I doesn't recommend to use it regularly - then the game will be too easy for you.
As you can easily understand, time, timers and clock are playing the great role in the game (especially those, who are going backward). So you will see them a lot - from electronic clock with alarm to the big mechanic clock, sun and moon clock, clepsydra and hourglass.
Restore defeated and captured inhabitants of Orion from the time ghosts to the normal state. Travel through different eras, use time as your ally, escape the time limbo, stop the ugly old witch!
Complectation of Echoes of the Past 3: The Citadels of Time Collector's Edition is usual for Big Fish Games Collector's Editions: step-by-step Integrated strategy guide (I mentioned about it before) with color pictures, about three hours of bonus gameplay, precious wallpapers, concept art and lot of funny minigames. So try this ravishing game and for a time you will forget this boring gray world!
