Hello, friends. Today is Sunday and Big Fish games has been released new exclusive game of my favorite genre combination - Hidden Object, Puzzle, Adventure. Game is called Reincarnations 3: Back to Reality. As usual for Hidden object/Puzzle/Adventure games Big Fish firstly released Collector's Edition of the game, you can pay fourteen dollars or wait for usual edition of Reincarnations 3: Back to Reality month or so. But first let's see gameplay video.
Here you can see main gameplay elements and content of Collector's Edition (we will discuss it later). Gameplay of Reincarnations 3: Back to Reality is usual for high-quality Hidden object games, graphics is traditionally well drawn (for Big Fish games Collector's editions), music and ambient sounds is pleasant and atmospheric. But first of all, let's talk about screenplay.
As in first and second parts of Reincarnations game series it devoted to the important issue: where are we going after death? Christians believes, that after judgment of your life God is sending you to Heaven, if the life was good, to Hell, if you were a big sinner, an to purgatory, if your destiny still uncertain and you have a chance to repay for bad things what you done and clean up your soul. Reincarnations 3 doesn't agree with Christians.
Reincarnations 3: Back to Reality game is closer to indian belief: everyone is taking part in Sansara wheel, wheel of Reincarnations. According to reincarnations belief all of us are living our lives in illusive world of pain and suffering. We are making our choises, that are turning to good or bad for us and other living beings of the world. All our actions affects our karma to good or bad. The more important our life for us, the worst carma-ruining decisions we made.
If you have bad karma, it drags you down. After every death you are reborn, in what appearance you will reborn, depends only from your karma. According to Buddhism, if you were committed bad things, you may reborn into some animal, tree or even usual stone, to repay for your karmic crimes. Not a best thing to do in your existence - lay as a rock for thousand years for stealing or cheating.
But in Reincarnations 3: Back to Reality things are little different. You will reborn in the human body no matter what you've done in your previous life. That point of view is closer and more understandable for white people (Americans and European). In Back to Reality four vengeful ghosts are coming to punish you for the sins you are committed in your previous reincarnations. You can be punished by death or come back in your previous lifes (some of them happens even in prehistoric times) and correct the mistakes you have done. This will save those spirits from painful death and prevent them from appearing.
However, it won't be easy: you must travel through times, find for long lost things, repair ancient complicated mechanisms and so on. Your karmic balance is on stake, so do your best to please the ghosts!
What may I say: story is much better than in previous parts. As you may remember, in Reincarnations: Uncover the Past you was playing as Jane and Dr. Herzl, who have made a big breakthrough in reincarnation studies. But after Jane kidnapping she must live through her past lives while she is trying to save herself in present. In Reincarnations 2: Awakening you also were playing as Jane, she become the prominent copywriter, but wants to change her career for better, so she is writing the article for a serious magazine about reincarnations and reincarnating herself to experience what she is writing about. Before that she was writing on the subject of makeup and fashion. Storyline of the third part is more interesting to me.
System requirements of Reincarnations 3: Back to Reality is quite normal: any Modern Windows (XP or above) or Mac OS (10.4 or above), 800 MHz CPU, 512 MB RAM, 639 MB of HDD free space. Small price for excellent graphics.
Collector's edition of Reincarnations 3: Back to Reality, traditionally for Big Fish, includes Integrated strategy guide with lots of pictures, bonus gameplay for about two or three hours, concept art and wallpapers, six music tracks from the game. The most important things for any gamer - early access to the game and extra gameplay. IMHO it costs additional seven dollars.
Summing up, Reincarnations 3: Back to Reality is continues traditions of Reincarnations series and moving even further. It is good for all who already played previous parts of Reincarnations, if you doesn't familiar with this series, you may play Back to Reality but also you may first try previous parts (they aren't connected very tight). Game is good, you may not like Reincarnations 3: Back to Reality only if you are already overplayed Hidden Object games or you doesn't like Hidden object games at all. That all for today. Good luck!
