Hi to all. In this nice snowy day I will shortly review newest HOG, created by EleFun Games and published by Big Fish Games - Fear for Sale: Sunnyvale Story. It's the second part of Fear for Sale game series form EleFun Games (first was named Fear for Sale: The Mystery of McInroy Manor). And for the begining let's watch gameplay video from publisher.

Video is good, graphics is nice, but I may frankly say that I haven't seen any new HOG with a poor graphics for a few month, so I cannot say that it's a big advantage. But at least it's not a fail :)

If you tried Fear For Sale: Mystery of McInroy Manor then you may notice that Fear for Sale 2: Sunnyvale Story graphics is much more detailed, more colored and nice. Difference is really splendid. But let's talk about the heart of any game - script.

In Mystery of McInroy Manor your avatar was Emma Roberts, a writer. Her task wath to explore the haunted estate and write an horrible/funny article about it (depending on what she will find out inside) for Fear for Sale Magazine.The manor locked up with her inside and it wasn't easy to find a way out. In the end, article wasn't funny at all. Emma met lot of ghosts of McInroy family and do her best to help them to rest in peace.

Sunnyvale Story isn't connected with the first part by the story, you have to play as brand new character. Let's look closely.

In Fear for Sale Sunnyvale Story you are sheriff deputy in a small town. Today you are investigating mysterious death of a young woman. A murder. Murder isn't happening often here, in Sunnyvale. On your homeland. 

Crime scene is huge and very-very strange. Your colleagues are have no clue what happened here, how the murder was completed. You are the only one who can collect all necessary clues and reestablish the sequence of the murderer's actions. But it isn't easy: some witnesses don't want to tell you what they saw, police officers doesn't think that some clues you found are important.

But when you where just one stop from resolving this mystery and catching the murderer, something strange happened and now you are facing even more complicated case, full of strange and supernatural elements. So now it's time to face another, even more complicated mystery. Some haunted house appears in a moment from nowhere and now you are house's prey, a prisoner of fear. There are plenty ghosts here and all of them once lived in your hometown, Sunnyvale. It appears that all of them were murdered by the same man. What a monster he should be to kill so many? Ho smart he is not to be found and captured by the police until this moment? You will find out!

That's how the storyline of Fear for Sale 2 - Sunnyvale Story starts.

Your main task in Fear for Sale 2: Sunnyvale Story game is to discover the connection between the two murders: today's and one that happens many years ago. It won't be simple for you - although both victims were found in the same positions, another connections aren't so obvious. Can you appease the ghosts, calm them down and let them finally rest in peace?
Video and audio-sequences in this game are traditionally good. I liked the rain here very much - it is realistic and adding a lot to the fear and horror of the game atmosphere. Collector's edition complectation is standard - bonus chapter, strategy guide and wallpapers/soundtrack. Nothing new.

Summing up, Fear for Sale 2: Sunnyvale Story game will be successful. It has plenty of various interesting puzzles and mini games, you doesn't have to search for hidden objects on the same location over and over again, hints are included in enough numbers. Graphics and gameplay are near perfect, story is full of thriller and suspense. So play it if you aren't bored by the ghosts thematics and you will have your hours of fear! Good luck!
